Engaging in a meditative task is exceptionally therapeutic, which is, in this case, the modular design that evolves in time with the visitors’ engagement. The layout will not only urge the people to walk in through the structure, but also let them stay and engage.
This place is designed to turn people into fans.
It creates an enticing advertising opportunity for IAEE, Expo Expo and A2Z by Personify with the modularity.
The modules get higher in elevation as one enters the space, enhancing the sense of discovery and engagement.
At the center, there is a self-service beer area that creates a hub for people to meet, and the numerous seating configurations let them engage and socialize. The modules also include charging stations and internet access.
Overall, the immersive and therapeutic activity of playing with the structure supports the identity of IAEE and turns the visitors into fans.
WHY MODULAR DESIGN? INEXPENSIVE: The mass-produced 3D printed modules are incredibly cost-effective. DURABLE: PLA by its nature is resistant and stain-free. GREEN: 3D printed modules are built out of PLA, which has corn base that makes it biodegradable. ENGAGING: A given task will ignite conversations among people, in short, a perfect ice-breaker. THERAPEUTIC: A mindless task has a relaxing quality, which is crucial for an environment full of stimuli. EASY INSTALLATION: The lightweight pieces make it easy to install for a temporary installation.
The modules not only conceptually support the brand image, but also create correctly functioning spaces for numerous types of gathering. Tables for two, six, or eight people, benches for casual seating, a self-service bar, a greeting counter with a backdrop, and some freestanding walls solely dedicated to the meditative play.
The visitor would approach the greeting counter, could get a module to play with, a glass for a drink or a brochure to get more information. The visitors would visually understand that the chartreuse blocks are for play, and would engage with the structure.
All the materials used here are envorinmentally conscious, such as PLA which is made out of corn, recycled rubber and colored acrylic. The colors are chosed from the three main supporters of the project, in order to reflect their identity.
“Building a future, piece by piece” is the catchphrase for the booth of IAEE in Expo! Expo! It summarizes the therapeutic act of playing with the modular pieces and creating something new, which directly correlates into how this booth brings people together for them to construct a more significant shared experience.
