Arabesque is a furniture prototype inspired by classical music. Debussy’s “Arabesque No. 1: Andantino con moto” was the project’s influence in terms of shape and form. The parallelism of triads created the triangular shapes, and the delicacy is reflected with the transparency. The tempo’s ambiguity developed the “anti-chair.” It is made out of walnut, maple, and acrylic, finished with the soap-and-sand technique to enhance the wood’s grainy texture and vibrant colors.
